Schools that buy into our service have a number of free places on courses. For non-subscribing schools, it will cost £150 per person per day, or £80 for a half day or twilight.

Computing for SEN learners working below National Curriculum level – Wed. 2nd May, 1.30-4.00pm
This course will provide an introduction to Computing for teachers of learners with special educational needs working below national curriculum level (e.g. P5 to 8). We will investigate simple programming and computational thinking activities, multimedia apps and websites, and where to find resources.
Scratch for SEN Learners – Wed. 9th May 2018, 1.30-4.00pm
This course will look at introducing Scratch as a creative programming environment for SEN learners working at national curriculum level. It will demonstrate ways of scaffolding learning and supporting students with visual aids. No prior knowledge of Scratch required but it would be beneficial.
Supporting literacy using iPad with SEN learners – Tues. 22nd May, 1.30-4.00pm
This course will look at practical ways to support reading, writing, listening and speaking with learners with moderate learning difficulties. There will be hands on time with a number of iPads, plus a look at the built-in accessibility features of the iPad.
