Since the explosion of generative AI tools in 2022, we have been working with Learn Sheffield to provide support for schools around AI. On this page you can access teaching resources and find out more about the support we can offer schools around the safe and effective implementation of AI.

Resources for Schools

Primary AI Literacy & RSHE Appendix – this maps the key AI messages to the RSHE (Relationships, Sex & Health Education) curriculum statements for KS1 and 2
AI Glossary – an image-supported glossary of AI terms with primary-friendly definitions
Kopemon Machine Learning Activity – this engaging, unplugged activity can be used with learners aged 9-12 to teach about Machine Learning, quality of data and bias.

Research & Courses

Through Learn Sheffield we are currently running two AI Research Projects with Sheffield schools:

– Governance & Implementation of AI

– Teaching About AI in Primary Schools
